Contemporary Serviced Apartments in Bangkok
Looking to stay with us for more than 30 nights
To experience the vibrant energy of one of the world's most colourful and populated cities, one should pay Bangkok a visit. It is here where climate-controlled mega-malls sit alongside 200-year-old villages, and where iconic tuk-tuks zip in and out of lanes precariously. The city’s multifaceted personality is what gives it its allure - that while the city races alongside its South East Asian neighbours towards urbanisation, it romantically holds dearly onto its rich culture, heritage and history.
It is in the very heart of this booming metropolis where Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor Bangkok lies. The serviced residence sits squarely on Sukhumvit Road, just a 10-minute walk to Thonglor skytrain station. A complimentary tuk-tuk service from the residence to the train station will be available for all Somerset guests. The residence is also within a walking distance to the renowned nightlife and shopping districts on along the Sukhumvit and Silom roads. The residence is also a mere hour-long drive to the Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Don Muang Airport.
First-time visitors will be treated with an onslaught of interesting sights unique to the Thailand capital. Now home to eleven million inhabitants, Bangkok was not always the capital. Ayutthaya is an ancient capital that is little over two hours away from Bangkok and can be easily accessed via buses, trains and boats, and makes for a noteworthy day trip from the capital. Ayutthaya's ruins were recognised in 1991, when it was declared to be an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Other sights worth visiting include the Chaktuchak Weekend Market, the expansive market that houses as many as 8000 stalls and 27 sections, hawking everything from homewares to footwear, pet poodles to fine silver jewelry, a few of the 400 wats (or temples, for the uninitiated) including three of the most famous: Wat Pra Kaew, Wat Arun and Wat Pho and the still-functioning water taxis along the Chao Phraya River and waterways.
At the end of a long day out and about, retire to the serviced residence to rejuvenate. Spacious and modernly furnished, the apartments come in various sizes, ranging from cleverly designed studios to two-bedroom apartments that come fitted with en-suite bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchenette as well as a workstation for when work beckons.
Somerset guests will also gain full access to the residence’s comprehensive facilities such as our on-site gymnasium, swimming pool, meeting rooms, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms, as well as a range of services.
